SciFi and Fantasy Art: Elven portrait

Self explanatory.

The model for this one was a very talented, very handsome young actor, Ben Seton - you might want to remember that name. He did not model for it personally (minor technicalities, such as we don't live on the same continent), but I used his picture with his consent. I like the result, and I think he liked it too.

BTW, the yellow lines on the sides are my scanner's addition. If you know how to get rid of them, I'd like to know...

Hey i get first coment dance!!!!!
Does not happen too much.

Well this is very good. The shading is good although he does look awefully smooth, which would be great for him , but it makes him a bit fantastic and even a tad unrealistic.
His hair is good, very good. And his eyes have a very peircing quality to them, full of soul.

Now that i look closer he is an excelent elf!!!

The wide smile the chisled face the smooth skin the ears all add to his elvishness. Great work. (now try him in color.)Hey, thanks! I thought nobody liked it...</a></i>

Not so much comments on this one I noticed. Waaahhh people are crazy, this guy is handsome ^^ Nice shading. And for the scanning problem: I don't know if there is a solution to it. You might try to buy a new scanner ^^ "Let's pray for some more comments, this pic deserves it"

Nice picture, he has cute smile. ^_^ Perhaps he is a bit pale... One way to get some colour without using any colouring pencils is to colour his face very slightly with pencil and then put the shadows just darker. Did that even sound very sensible... Uh, I don't know but I hope you understood what I tried to say... ´^_^` I like his eyes because the laughter is in them too, not only on his lips.
About that scanner thing. My scanner makes those marks too (though they are usually blue... weird) and as you have probably notised they are shadows which come if the paper isn't well in scanner. Or at least in my scanner... But anyway, I guess the easiest way to get rid of them is to colour them with the background colour. This of course works only in black and white pictures. Some patience is needed but I guess it is no problem. There is other ways too (and I hope someone comes to tell them ^_^) but they are quite difficult to explain. Umm, well, that's it now. *hides behind the trees* Oh, btw, thanks for visiting my gallery!
